The way you mount a shade—inside, outside, or with side brackets—can completely change its look, fit, and performance.

Shades can be mounted in different ways depending on your space and style. You can mount them inside the window frame for a clean, built-in look, outside the frame to cover more area and block more light, or side-mounted with brackets on the left and right when there’s no surface above for hardware. Each method changes how the shade looks, fits, and functions.
